Keeping a written account of your caregiving experiences helps you remember the ups, as well as the downs, of caregiving. it helps you focus, refine your thoughts, counter isolation and loneliness, while also helping you to develop creating writing skills. instructor will help you record your caregiving story via in-class discussion. beginning and experienced writers are welcome. instructor esther altshul helfgott is a non-fiction writer and poet . her work on caregiving appears in "beyond forgetting: poetry and prose about alzheimer's disease, journal of poetry therapy, fraglit, & elsewhere. she is the author of dear alzheimer's: a caregiver's diary & poems (cave moon press, 2013) and the blog witnessing alzheimer's: a caregiver's view" at www.seattlepi.com.
